The Process

Weichi believes in providing a comprehensive and collaborative service to his clients. His process is designed to be simple and to ensure that he meets each client’s specific needs, delivering high-quality, professional photographs that exceed expectations. Here’s how Weichi’s process works:

1. Consultation

Weichi’s journey with clients begins with a consultation, either over the phone or in person. During this meeting, he discusses the client’s goals and objectives for the photoshoot. Whether photos are needed for a portfolio, website, or marketing efforts, Weichi is there to help. This is also the time when the licensing of the photos will be discussed.

2. Location Scouting

Before the photoshoot, a scouting session may be scheduled depending on the project. If scouting is necessary, Weichi spends a day on location to take some test shots. This helps plan the best angles and number of photos and serves as a guideline for the day of the shoot. He sends a watermarked version of these test shots for the client’s feedback and approval. The client selects the photos they want captured, and Weichi uses those as a reference for the photoshoot.

3. Photoshoot Day

On the day of the photoshoot, Weichi asks that the location be prepared and any necessary parties be informed to ensure he has access to all the locations that will be photographed.

4. Photo Delivery

After the photoshoot, Weichi begins the editing process. Delivery of the final, edited photos typically takes 2-3 weeks, depending on the quantity and editing required to finalize the images.

Pricing and Fees

Weichi’s rates are based on time onsite, either half day (4-5 hours) or full day (6-8 hours), plus a fee per image. Standard usage license rights are included. The standard license covers use in personal publications, such as a portfolio, social media, a personal or company website, etc.

For any licensing beyond personal publication, usage will be assessed and a custom quote will be provided.

Any third-party usage requests must be referred directly to Weichi.
